An Easter Prayer

Dear Fellow Parishioners,
Once again we have embraced the Paschal Mystery. This past week we have celebrated Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

An Easter Prayer
Of all of God’s gifts
Easter shows us our fate
Forgiven we will rise
And pass through Heaven’s gate

This Easter remember
The sacrifice of a Son
And through His resurrection
Eternal life we have won

This Easter I pray
That the love of God
Is resurrected
Reborn, renewed
Inside your heart
God Bless You!

Yes, we are an Easter people. Over the coming fifty days of this season we are invited to reflect on the meaning and responsibility this wonderful gift holds for us. Consider:

How am I living the Easter message?
Am I praying?
Am I evangelizing?
Am I loving others?
How am I supporting the Church?
Time?
Talent?
Treasure?

Yes, the Easter message holds both a personal and communal challenge. May we be open to the many ways in which the Holy Spirit invites us to embrace the Paschal Mystery.

Easter blessings,
Fr. Brian
