Director of Community Life (PT)

To support, coordinate and shape all actions connected to the ministry of parish and community life, helping to achieve the vision of “creating and celebrating community by welcoming and nurturing Christ in each person.”

Oversee, support, coordinate, and develop Parish and Fundraising events:
Parish and Community Life Commission
Feast of Saint Edward and Feast raffle
Cana Dinner
Donut Sundays/hospitality
Welcoming Program
Other parish events and interest groups as assigned

Director of Social Justice (PT)

To support, coordinate and shape all actions connected to the ministries of Social Justice and Charity Outreach.

Oversee, support, coordinate, and shape the following primary areas, through meetings, evaluations, communications, resources, travel, and appreciation:
Social Justice Commission – meets every month; empower ongoing and educated evaluation of effectiveness of St. Ed’s outreach ministries, planning for improvements as needed, and addressing of larger social justice issues
Families Moving Forward – guide and support team of volunteer coordinators for hosting one week, one to three times per year; help with logistics; educate parish on what FMF is and why it is important for us to serve the homeless – (program currently on hold)
Sister Parish Committee (2 Relationships: Nicaragua, Dominican Republic) – support and empower them in periodic meetings, planning and prep. for trips; educate on Catholic Mission philosophy and social teaching; emphasize context of faith and spirituality; travel to Dominican Republic as needed (for numbers or translating); travel to Nicaragua once per year to maintain understanding and relationships; ongoing evaluation – how meeting St. Ed’s & Sister Community needs
Veggies-4-VEAP “Giving” Garden- support and empower parish green thumbs in logistics and materials for preparing, maintaining and harvesting garden for VEAP’s food shelf
Community Collections and Drives – coordinates, but not limited to VEAP and area Life Care Centers
On-going Education of Parish with regard to issues of Social Justice

Director of Communications (FT)

To coordinate communications of events and activities to support the branding, mission, and vision of St. Edwards.
