Winter Morning series
“Bible Basics” with Pat Lieb

Thursdays, February 6-27
9:00 – 11:00 am

Catholics know their faith is based in the Bible. They have heard segments read as part of the Mass all their lives, and heard regular homilies interpreting it. However, many still feel a bit inadequate about how it came to be and how to find one’s way around in it. This short series aims to help understand its make-up, get sound interpretations, and benefit from personal use. No prior knowledge is presumed in beginning by opening the book, while Bible study veterans may find it a good review and help to put prior learnings into wholesome perspective. Handouts included.

Many parishioners will recognize facilitator, Pat Lieb, from 15 years on staff implementing St Ed’s Adult Faith Formation. She has had a 50 year career in religious education with many of those years spent developing and implementing adult faith formation in the diocesan offices of Winona, New Ulm, and Duluth – along with involvement in national organizations – prior to Metro parish ministry. Her graduate education is from Loyola U., Chicago, and Seattle University. She is particularly enthusiastic about providing Scriptural background to enrich adult biblical interpretation – heightened with trips to Israel’s Biblical sites.

Please pre-register by contacting Mary Pat Potts at the parish office (952) 835-710,1 ext. 210. If you email or leave a phone message, please include: the event you are registering for, your name, phone number and an email address where you can be reached.
