ANNULMENTS: FACT VS. FICTION
Tuesday, March 8, 6:30 PM
St. Edward’s Church

Isn’t an annulment just a Catholic divorce? Will my children be considered illegitimate if I seek an annulment? I heard an annulment can cost thousands of dollars, is that true? Didn’t Pope Francis just change the annulment process? How quickly can
I get an annulment?

There are a lot of misconceptions about declarations of nullity (often called “annulments”). Pope Francis recently instituted some changes into the annulment process and many people are wondering how those changes might affect them. This presentation will focus on explaining the annulment process, including the recent changes, and dispelling some of the more common misunderstandings; and will be given by a canon lawyer who works with people seeking declarations of nullity. Come with questions!
