Parish Mission Kick-Off Meeting

Join the Group Heading to the Dominican Republic

Celebrate the Jubilee Year of Mercy by joining St. Edward’s Mission Trip!
Support a social justice organization—the Teresa Toda Home, a home for very poor girls in Azua, Dominican Republic—with a summer camp in July 2016. This trip is for women over age 18 and mother-daughter pairs for daughters over age 15. There are openings from July 9 through July 17 and July 16 through July 24 for travelers interested in sharing a spiritual experience with young women and girls from another country. Each of our past mission trips have been deeply touching and spiritual.

The mission group will study bible stories, play music and perform skits while also praying, exchanging stories, sharing love, and spending time with the girls—who learn English, enjoy crafts, and build self-esteem. Volunteers bring their special gifts, like Spanish skills, crafting and beading, and professional experiences like healthcare, tourism, retail, science, government, education, and more. To follow the Pope’s lead on social justice, charity, adventure, spiritual experiences, fellowship, growth, and fun, answer the call to travel with this mission group this summer or help out from Minnesota.

Please contact Ann McGuire at 952-914-9123 or e-mail to RSVP for the kick-off meeting on Monday, January 25th, at 7:00pm in room 121. Ann and past travelers will be there to give an overview and answer questions.
