Virtus Training

9:00 am

February 1, 2014

Saturday, February 1: 9:00 am – noon.

VIRTUS is one of the “Three Essentials” necessary to volunteer with children, youth, or vulnerable adults, and is a requirement for many volunteer opportunities at St. Ed’s (such as Families Moving Forward, Faith Formation, VBS, and other events throughout the year). Even if you don’t have an event coming up right away, it might be helpful to do VIRTUS ahead of time!

To register for this VIRTUS session, or to find a listing of offerings at other dates/locations:

  1. Go to www.virtus.org
  2. Click on Registration on the sidebar.
  3. Click on Begin Registration Process (you can also click View a List of Sessions)
  4. Select (scroll half-way down) and select St. Paul and Minneapolis, MN (Archdiocese)
  5. Proceed by creating a user ID and password (personal) and follow the screen prompts to continue the on-line registration.

Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to all sessions as the attendance is counted from the beginning of the session at 6:30. If you arrive late, you will not be able to attend. If you have any questions, please contact the PCYI office at (651) 251-7742 or pcyi@archspm.org.

VIRTUS sessions are provided by the Protection of Children and Youth Initiative (PCYI) of the Archdiocese and is a facilitator-led awareness session concerning child sexual abuse and other inappropriate sexual behavior. This training session need only be attended once and it is offered at many parish locations throughout the year.
