Adult Faith Alive!
The Church of St. Edward has made a name for itself as a parish that offers quality adult faith opportunities. We take pride in presenting something for every adult in our parish, no matter where they might be in their faith journey. We truly promote life-long learning for our people—because no one ever arrives at sufficient knowledge to say we are finished and have nothing more to learn.

Mission Statement: Adult Faith Alive!
St. Edward’s Church promotes life-long learning about religious beliefs and living a conscientious faith life; continually developing our understanding of the love of God from which we live by offering a foundation of spiritual understanding and practice.
Something for Everyone
St. Ed’s takes pride in presenting something for every adult in our parish, no matter where you might be in your faith journey. Using the gifts of exceptional and reputable speakers we offer many different venues, from basic learning series to theological seminars. We also offer opportunities for dialogue groups and for spiritual growth through faith sharing and revitalizing retreats. Some offerings are series and others are one-time events.

Adult Faith Formation – A Mandate from the American Bishops
“Were not our hearts burning (within us) while He spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32)
In November 1999, the U.S. bishops issued a document named after this scriptural passage, to advocate for effective adult faith formation:
“Adults need to question, probe and critically reflect on the meaning of God’s revelation in their unique lives in order to grow closer to God. A searching faith leads to deepening conversion.”
The Church wisely and repeatedly insists that adult faith formation is:
“essential to who we are and what we do as a Church” and must be “situated not at the periphery of the Church’s education mission, but at its center”
If you are a seeker, if you like reflecting on God’s word and how it operates in your life, if you would like your faith to have a deeper center, then you will love our Adult Faith Alive! ministries and offerings here at St. Edward’s Church!
