Feast of the Assumption

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary commemorates the death of Mary and her bodily assumption into Heaven. This year, Feast of the Assumption falls on a Monday—August 15th—and so the holy day of obligation is abrogated in the United States. Celebrate the Feast of the Assumption, which is not a holy day of obligation this year, by praying the rosary in our chapel at 6:30pm on Monday, August 15th. Note: Our closing song at Masses on August 13/14 is “Hail Holy Queen” in observance of this feast day.
