Classroom Crucifixes

If you walk into the faith formation classrooms, you’ll now see a new crucifix hanging on the wall. The crucifixes were hung this winter as a result of generous donations from parishioners. The faith formation team is grateful to those who generously donated to make this possible. According to the Catholic catechism, the crucifix is a sacramental, a “sacred sign” meant to remind us of the truths of the Christian faith, and to appeal to our imagination. We intend for these sacred signs to serve as reminders of Christ’s redemptive sacrifice while also deepening a sense of appreciation for Catholic identity in all who may walk into our classrooms. Again, thank you to those who were able to donate financially and thank you to all parishioners who support, pray for, encourage, teach, parent and love the youth of this church.
