VEAP Thank You
Thanks to all who donate using our VEAP collection boxes in the foyer and to those who deliver items from our parish to VEAP. Read an excerpt from a letter VEAP recently sent
Fr. Brian: “Your gift allows VEAP volunteers and staff to provide access to healthy foods and social services that support low income individuals and families in our community. VEAP is humbled by and appreciates its volunteers and faithful donors—thank you for your generous support. Together, we are working to meet basic needs and build stronger, more hopeful communities.”
Second Sunday VEAP Food Drive
The weekend of May 13/14 is our Second Sunday VEAP Food Drive. Bring donations to the big wooden boxes located in the foyer. Donations benefit VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People), our local food shelf organization. The most needed items include pantry staples like olive oil, pasta and flour. Also needed are baby products, personal care items, peanut butter, tuna, juice, canned meats and laundry soap.
Our gardening committee needs cucumber, tomato, pepper and marigold plants to be purchased and brought to the foyer the weekends of May 13/14 and 20/21. Planting of our “Veggies for VEAP” garden on the south lawn will begin in early June.
VEAP’s 18th Annual Gala will be held Friday, May 19th. Our parish will sponsor sports baskets at the auctions. Donations are needed now! Bring game tickets and team apparel or paraphernalia to our parish office or call Jake at 952-831-1970.
