The Capital Needs Project was recently completed in the main worship space. Beginning March 1, a construction crew removed all the pews from the space, temporarily relocating the pews to the social hall. Once removed, workers began to prep the space for the repair and repainting of the ceiling. Lifts were brought in to facilitate the process. During the week, while the church was off-limits, the chapel was utilized for Masses. To accommodate larger Mass attendance on the weekends, the work crew and staff made adjustments, including unwrapping the altar and worship screens and adding chairs in the church, so Masses could continue throughout the construction. After the ceiling was completed, the old, worn carpeting was removed, and new carpet installed. The work crew then reinstalled all the pews. Construction wrapped up in just in time for Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter Sunday.
