The Tegeder Committee is pleased to announce five recent grant recipients:

  • Tree Trust received $2,000 to support their Branches program. Their mission is to transform lives and landscapes by building careers inspiring people to plant trees and make our community greener.
  • Tandem Family Resource Center received $5,000 to purchase furniture for one of their apartments. They provide transitional housing, parenting and life skills education, life coaching for women and children.
  • Division of Indian Work received a grant of $3,000 to purchase diapers for American Indian babies and toddlers. They provide services for maternal/child health through their Strengthening Family Circles program.
  • Cookie Cart received $5,000 to assist in the repair of their freezer. Their mission is to teach life, leadership, and employment skills to teens of color through on the job and classroom experiences in nonprofit bakeries.
  • Baby Space received $4,000 to purchase two buggy transports for their childcare center. They provide childcare for infants and toddlers in the Little Earth of United Tribes housing development.

So far this year, the Tegeder Committee has distributed $35,000 in Tegeder Fund grant request monies to local non-profits for projects that benefit our community. To learn more about the Tegeder Fund, and how you can get involved, visit The Tegeder Fund page.
