Parish Assessment & Renewal (PAR)
In 2012, the Parish Council approved the participation in a Parish Assessment and Renewal Program (PAR). The thrust of this program is to assist the Church of St. Edward in evaluating:
- What we do well as a parish
- What can we do better
- And what we don’t do that we should be doing
This process is a blend of information gathering and planning to help us identify who we are, dream who we can be and plan how to get there. The premise of the PAR model is that the present day parish structure depends too heavily on one pastor and puts limits on his effectiveness. PAR is designed to provide the pastor with a collaborative decision making system that includes staff and parishioners in the decision making process.
A goal of PAR is to enhance communications throughout the parish. With that in mind, all parishioners are invited to Leadership Night Meetings at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month (except June, July and December). Leadership Night Meeting Minutes are also published below:
The PC meets once a month on the first Tuesday of each month (no meeting in June or July), after the PAR Leadership gatherings, and is open for parishioner observation. PC meeting minutes are also published below:
