Advent greetings and blessings,
As we prepare for Christmas and reflect on the humble arrival of the Child Jesus 2000 years ago, we also prepare our hearts for when He returns in glory. One of the best ways to prepare is by celebrating Mass – we truly experience the coming of the Lord when He is present in His Word and He sustains us in the Eucharist.
This year, we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent on December 24, followed by the joyous occasion of Christmas on December 25. As Catholics, we are obliged to attend Mass twice during this timeframe – once for each celebration – so our Christmas Mass times look different this year:
Fourth Sunday of Advent
Saturday, December 23 at 5:00pm
Sunday, December 24 at 10:00am
The Nativity of the Lord (Christmas)
Sunday, December 24 at 3:00pm & 5:00pm
Monday, December 25 at 10:00am
Registered parishioners should have received this information, along with details about additional Advent events, in your mailbox. If you are not receiving our mailings, please contact the parish office and make sure you are registered with our parish.
Thank you, in advance, for joining our community in the opportunities for prayer and fellowship during this hopeful and joyous season. May God bless you and your loved ones this Advent – and beyond – as we together prepare our hearts for the coming of our Savior.
I look forward to celebrating this Advent season and Christmas with you and your loved ones!
