Cana Dinner: Renewal of Vows, Candlelight Dinner & Dance
Every year, married couples gather at St. Edward’s Church to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage, giving credit to the work of God’s spirit to enrich their partnership with commitment, trust and love. A brief but beautiful prayer service that includes a renewal of vows precedes the sharing of a delicious meal (really a food extravaganza!) along with fun and engaging entertainment, music and dancing. St. Edward’s Cana Dinner will surpass your expectations and will be a well-earned date night!
Help Plan Our Next Cana Dinner! If you have a flair for party planning, sharing hospitality or keeping track of details, the Cana Committee welcomes new members to help in the planning and presentation of Cana Dinner. The committee typically meets once monthly from October to February when the event is held. Inquiries regarding the Cana Committee can be directed to Donna Rubio at 952-835-7101 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Donut Sunday: Delicious Donuts, Fresh Coffee and Refreshing Juice!
It is wonderful to see all the people gathered in the social hall on Donut Sundays—chatting, visiting with people, reaching out to welcome people or meeting somebody new that they’ve never met before. That is how community is built-making that personal connection with others. It is great to see how people value one another, show concern for one another and enjoy one another’s company—parishioners, guests and newcomers. Please join the group after Sunday Mass in the social hall.
New volunteers for Donut Sunday are always welcome. To volunteer your time, please use our Online Donut Sunday Sign-Up or the sheet found under the monitor in the church foyer. Contact Donna Rubio at email@example.com in the parish office for more information.
Feast of St. Edward
Held annually on the second Sunday in September, this celebration includes an outdoor “Mass on the Grass”, followed by a picnic lunch. There are activities for all ages, including carnival style games, BINGO, and “King Edward’s Games”. Each year a raffle is held with several prizes including the grand prize of $1000 in cash.
Lenten Fish Fry: Lent Means FISH FRY
An annual parish event that is sure to leave you full and satisfied, experience this mouth-watering, delicious Lenten tradition the St. Ed’s way! A fundraiser for Youth Ministry, contact Patrick Smalley at firstname.lastname@example.org or 952-835-7101 for more information.
In January the Knights of Columbus sponsor this annual parish-wide event held at the Bloomington Event Center (KC Hall). Many volunteer hours are spent preparing the mailing, cooking and serving the breakfast, and cleaning up. Each year the event benefits a different project or ministry at St. Edward.
