About the speakers:
Ann Ellison is currently Manager of Interfaith Health for M Health Fairview, providing leadership to the Fairview Interfaith Health Collaborative, a network of more than 100 faith communities and organizations. Ann has a B.A. in Social Work and a M.A. in Health and Human Service Administration. She completed a fellowship in Cultural Competence Leadership and is an Advance Care Planning trainer and a trainer in Risking Connection in Faith Communities, a curriculum for faith leaders supporting trauma survivors. Ann is passionate about the role faith communities can play in the health and wellbeing of their members and communities.
Allison Oja is the Director of Education and Community Support with Minnesota Hospice. She is completing her Master’s of Science in Thanatology (the study of death, dying, bereavement and loss), and has degrees in Psychology and Religious Studies. She is also a Master Transpersonal Hypnotherapist and Reiki practitioner. Allison has worked in hospice for over a decade and is passionate about normalizing conversations surrounding death and dying throughout the lifespan and the community.
