At this time, we are planning to have Camp Eddie 2020. We are monitoring the news and CDC recommendations and will continue to make updates. If Camp Eddie is cancelled, full refunds will be given.
Camp Eddie is St. Edwards’s very own DAY CAMP! Not everyone has the opportunity to get away for a week of overnight camp, so we’re bringing the experience to you. Give your child one week where their only task is to be a kid and have a blast. We have a jam-packed week planned with summer fun, Biblical truth, high energy worship and incredible activities like 9 square in the air, water games, and plenty of things we guarantee you have never done before. What better way to end the summer?! See the fun from last year!

New and improved check in system this year!
9 a.m. We will have a curbside drop off where the leaders will meet your student at your car! You’ll be able to follow the signs and know exactly where to go without ever having to leave your car!
You will need to come inside to pick up your camper. Please make sure whoever picks up your camper (parents, grandparents, nanny, etc.) is on the authorized pick up list during registration. An I.D. may be required for first-time campers to ensure safety.
What about allergies?
Please note these on the registration form. We will provide alternative snacks for campers that have food restrictions listed on the registration form. Parents are also asked to not pack peanut products in lunches.
What should my camper bring to camp each day?
Your campers will not need much during the day! Water bottles are welcome – please label, but we will provide water throughout the day. Full day campers will need to bring a peanut-free lunch. Do not send anything that will distract from the day such as cell phones, electronics, gaming devices, etc. These will be held on to by a leader. Plus there is no time for those things, we’ll be too busy!
What should my campers wear to camp?
We recommend that you send your camper in clothes that can get a little dirty and/or wet. Remember this is a summer camp environment, we will be outside for most of the day and there will be activities where your camper may get wet or dirty. Your camper should be in summer attire and no flip-flops, please wear running shoes! We will be outside so put on sunscreen before you come (we will also have more onsite).
Does Camp Eddie stay on St. Eds campus all day?
Yes! We will be indoors, outdoors and running all around the church!
Can my Camper Bring Friends? Will they be in the same group?
YES! They will need to fill out the registration form as well. Please note, campers will be put into groups by grade. We will not be mixing grades this year. This allows us to ask age-appropriate small group questions, to make distinctions for games, etc. Other than small group time, all campers will be together the entire day, so even if you aren’t in the same group as your friend, you will spend the majority of the time together!
Do these friends need to be Catholic?
No. While we intend for this week to be an experience that enables young people to know and grow in their relationship with Jesus, there are not spiritual prerequisites. We will openly share Biblical truths from God’s Word every day at camp through teaching, worship, music, prayer and small groups. Every staff member is a follower of Christ and will do their best to model Jesus-like character while sharing their faith. But you do not need to have a church membership or church history to attend. There will be no pressure on children to make any spiritual decisions this week.
Do you run background checks on all staff?
Yes, all of our staff and volunteers will have background checks run on them.
Why are you doing this at the end of the summer?
What better way to end summer than a week of camp?! We also want to build excitement and enthusiasm for Faith Formation starting back up in September!
If you have any other questions please contact Nicole Smalley Director of Faith Formation, Birth to Grade 8
