Elementary School Grades 1-5
Wednesday nights during the school year 6:30-7:45pm
Our faith formation ministries are dedicated to providing rich formational opportunities for children in an exciting, innovative and caring environment. We meet in grade specific groups and focus on relational ministry, scripture study and having fun! Throughout the year we also incorporate large-group experiences for grades 1-5 to be together, including a Christmas party, service projects, Easter celebration and more.
Registration is required for all faith formation programs. Registration takes place in August, contact Nicole Smalley to register after that.
During 2nd grade we offer First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Preparing for these Sacraments takes place during Wednesday night Faith Formation, at home and includes some special events. Details are found here.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
On Sundays during the 10:30am mass elementary students are invited to participate in Children’s Liturgy of the Word. Details are found here.
How Parents Can Get Involved
Be a part of forming the spiritual lives of the children at this church. There are many ways to get involved, from hall monitors, to project prep, to special events, to helping with CLOW, and our weekly Wednesday night teachers. Teachers use curriculum and prepared lesson plans to lead the classrooms. With at least two teachers in every room you are never on your own! Teachers will lead discussions, play games, ask questions, instruct projects, all in an effort to bring faith alive for these kids.
Please contact Nicole Smalley if you are interested in volunteering!
