You are invited to become Catholic via the Rite of Initiation of Adults and Children/Families
RCIA: Sacramental Program
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is offered to those who have not been baptized, who wish to become Roman Catholic from another faith, or are Catholic but in need of receiving Eucharist and/or Confirmation. There are several liturgical rituals to mark the journey and candidates will receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil, on Holy Saturday night.

“It is so cool that they will remember their baptism,” a parent shared.
RCIC/F: Sacramental Program
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Children and Families (RCIC/F) is truly a time to rejoice! If your child is older than the traditional ages for reception of the sacraments, the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Reconciliation are offered in a family-friendly format. One of St. Edward’s faith formation directors, in consultation with parents, determines the journey. The preparation is usually presented by appointment over the summer months.
RCIC/F: Whole Family Experience
So many times, children are embarrassed and unsure and it is not appropriate to have them join second graders for preparation. They will need materials that are age appropriate and an atmosphere of confidentiality. Sometimes receiving sacraments in a very public manner can be difficult for older children and youth, so private family events are offered. Also, parents may be re-entering the Church as well and may have doubts and concerns that need to be addressed. This process is for the whole family and can be a bonding and enriching experience.
